Our stewardship promise
Because OHPF is a founding-stage organization, most stewardship is carried out directly by Dr. Castillo Sumi and the board of directors. This is not a limitation — it is a commitment. Every donor relationship receives personal attention.
Tax deductibility
Ohana Healthcare Partners Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 41-3959183). All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. A gift acknowledgment letter will be sent within 48 hours. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific circumstances.

The Founding Ohana
The Foundation grows like a tree. It begins with a seed — a Founding Circle gift that plants a named fund and gives the Foundation the strength to begin. It is held by its roots — sustained givers whose year-after-year commitment keeps it standing and lets it grow. Together, the Seed and the Roots are the Founding Ohana: the permanent family of people who built this.

Sustained Givers
Begin giving during the founding window and sustain for five consecutive years. Your permanent Founding designation is earned when that commitment is complete. If you upgrade along the way, your earlier years carry forward.
Every Founder — at every level — is honored permanently on the Foundation’s digital donor wall and in its founding story.

A Living Legacy
Named Funds
A named fund is the most enduring way to give. It is a dedicated cause within the Foundation that carries a name you choose — in your own honor, in memory of someone you love, or for the family that shaped you — for as long as the Foundation stands.

A Founding Circle gift
$25,000 or more (or $75,000 for an organization), given at once or rallied by your ohana within the founding window. A named fund is established immediately upon completion.

Five years as a Partner
Sustain giving at the Partner level for five consecutive years. The named fund right is earned when that commitment is complete. Either path carries the same honor.
The Foundation stewards every named fund and makes all grant decisions. Donors choose the area of interest; the Foundation selects the recipients. A donor’s immediate family is not eligible to receive grants from the fund bearing their name. You may also dedicate a fund in a loved one’s name while keeping your own identity private.
